Quinta Branca

Twelve guest rooms set around white courtyards on an old farm — slow rooms, thick walls and the smell of the cork oaks.

The brief

A family wanted to turn their farm into a small hotel without losing what made it feel like a farm.

The idea

We kept the old walls, lime-washed them white and added rooms in the same thick masonry around three new courtyards. Shade comes from vines, not air conditioning.

Today

The hotel is open from March to November. Most guests come for a weekend and stay a week.
